Lessons on Spiritual Growth from Nature

Such a great book with apostolic depth and wisdom! I am not just recommending it to disciples of Christ, I am recommending it to those saddled with the assignment of nursing and growing spiritual infants. They will do well by following the insights and wisdom you shared.”

In Romans 1;20 we are told that the invisible things of God are seen in His creation. Although there are many expressions of His creation to explore to find out more about God, I have chosen in this course, to use a tree.

For 15 years I worked as a professional horticulturist and landscape designer. During those years of consulting homeowners and small businesses on proper choices for their landscapes, I learned to appreciate the wide variety of plants, shrubs, and trees available to create and enhance an outdoor environment.

I must admit here my obsession with trees. At one time, my own yard featured 29 varieties of Japanese maples along with a mixture of a dozen other species.

In landscape design training, we are taught that trees make the most immediate impact in a landscape. My hope is that by reading the text of this course and engaging with the Questions for Reflection for each lesson, there might be immediate impact in your life.
